Introduced on Sept 8, 2021. The bill repeals and replaces the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and the Airport Authorities Act 1966 with a single, modernised statute and contains a range of policy proposals. These include regulation of drones or autonomous aircraft and new security regulation powers. First reading Sept 20 with all parties in agreement and sent to the transport and infrastructure committee. Reported back on June 6 2022 with amendments. Second reading on March 8 with the Greens opposed.
