It would establish an independent working group with the objective to set up a government-owned and operated KiwiSaver provider, known as KiwiFund. Completed first reading on Feb 21 with National and ACT opposed arguing the Bill was unnecessary. Referred to the Economic Development, Science and Innovation Committee.
