Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Rugby World Cup 2019 Extended Trading Hours) Amendment Bill

Introduced on Aug 26. The bill allow eligible licensees to extend trading hours to televise games played as part of the Rugby World Cup 2019. Passed through all stages by leave of the House on Aug 28. A number of MPs including Justice Minister Andrew Little noted the need to pass ad hoc licensing laws for major events showed there could be a need to revisit alcohol law again.
