Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Legislation Bill

Introduced on May 4. The Bill implements the trade deal between NZ, Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, and the 10 members of ASEAN. This includes the issue of certificates of origin on goods, preferential tariff rates and transitional safeguard measures. First reading on May 18, opposed by the Greens and Māori Party. Sent to the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee to be reported back by Sept 19.
